Welcome to our wedding pages, we've put these pages on the Internet as it's the easiest way to keep everyone informed of our plans for our wedding.

Neither of us are particularly big on tradition or formality so we hope our wedding day will be a relaxed and fairly informal affair.

We have a diverse array of friends and family and want everyone to feel comfortable so we do not expect everyone to turn-up in big hats or full evening-dress; we simply hope everyone will "make an effort but be yourselves". Of course, if being yourself means big hats and full evening-dress then by all means go for it!

We are neither expecting nor seeking wedding gifts from our guests as we believe it's people rather than things that make a marriage special but if you do feel an uncontrollable urge to give us a gift we have a small John Lewis wedding list available here (gift list number 301113).

Please resist the urge to bring any gifts on the day as we both have a tendency to misplace anything that's not physically gaffer-taped to our bodies.

If you want to make a really worthwile gift we are trying to raise money for South Devon Sports Association for the Disabled a very worthy cause who bring joy, hope and a chance to shine to many wonderful and remarkable people, we hope there will be collecting tins on the bar at the reception.

Please bear in mind that the day of the wedding (2nd August) is the day before the start of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the week before the start of the Edinburgh Festival so accommodation in Edinburgh may be tricky to find if you don't book early.

nb.The wedding venue prohibits the use of confetti inside and Edinburgh's littering laws prohibits the use of confetti outside.
You will be free to chuck confetti at us in the reception venue, though.
